If you are looking for "beer, wine and bargains," this April, Rebar will be able to provide one or all of your needs. Derek Stonebarger, formerly of Atomic Liquors, is readying to soft debut his Arts District wine bar, gastropub and antiques store on April Fool's day. Signage has already appeared in the window.
Surrounded by fellow antique stores and taking over the the former Amberjoy's Vintage Closet, the 1,775-square-foot quirky concept will feature 647 square feet of outdoor seating, including a compact area right on Main Street.
Inside, Stonebarger is already promising "oddities" and "antiques" in a space where all the fixtures are also for sale.
Located directly across the street from the Velveteen Rabbit, Rebar's menu will include "100+ wines" and "corn free cocktails." While their website makes no mention of food options, their Facebook page does refer to the space as a "gastropub."
