A taste of Portland, Ore.'s coffee culture will very soon be brewing close to Sunset Park. Aiming for a late January, early February debut, Coffee Hunter will take over 1,262-square-feet of a former Quiznos's space at the Eastern Spring Village retail center.
Owner Hunter Hawkins describes the newly remodeled interior as "industrial chic with a great mix of reclaimed woods, metal, and concrete." On the menu, the full line of Portland's own Stumptown Coffee Roasters blends.
For the food options, Hawkins has focused closer to home, working with local vendors to create "custom sweet and savory items" and unusual options like Cornish pasties and the Portuguese chocolate treat, brigadeiros.
