The pizza wars continue with a new contender planning to break into the market. In 2014, the fast-casual build-your-own pizza concept PizzaRev announced plans to open in Las Vegas as part of a 40-franchise expansion across the country. Now comes word the the first of three Las Vegas locations will open at 1381 W. Sunset Road in Henderson on Feb. 18.
Diners here can build their own pizzas starting with the sauce, cheese and 30 ingredients. The Roman-style pizzas cook three minutes in a four-ton, 900-degree stone hearth oven. Gluten-free crusts, sauces, cheeses and toppings as well as vegan options such as Daiya cheese are available. Most locations even have a gluten-free beer. PizzaRev also serves salads, an Oreo dessert pizza and a selection of beer and wine.
Last year, PizzaRev announced plans to open at an under-construction, four-acre retail center at the corner of Rainbow and Badura. The 23,400-square-foot complex will also host Yogurtland, Farmer Boys and Café Zupas when it debuts.
