Featuring ornate leather chairs, enough tea cups for an adventure for Alice in Wonderland and a full menu from breakfast to dinner, D's Coffee Shop is upfront about its ambition to offer an unconventional version of a local coffee shop.
Located in Spring Valley, in the former home of the West Wing Cigar Lounge, the 4,144-square-foot space also features patio dining.
While listening to "smooth jazz," guests can enjoy breakfast dishes like build you own Benedicts or omelets, plus stacks of hot cakes for $5.99, and other familiar morning staples. For lunch, soups, salads, sandwiches and the $14.99 "catch of the day" join the $9.99 D' Shop Burger, layered with smoked ham, honey mustard and melted Swiss cheese.
From 6 to 9 p.m, dinner is served, with choices like a $9.99 mesquite smoked chicken tenderloin and crab meats and prosciutto stuffed mushroom caps.
Currently, the coffee shop is also hosting Dragonfly, "the house Psychic/Medium" who reads tarot cards, coffee grounds and tea leaves at limited times from Wednesday to Saturday.
