The former Lady Sylvia speakeasy at the Soho Lofts has been re-decorated into tribute to all forms of fandom, embracing diverse media subcultures and creating a spot where a Klingon and a human can put aside differences and hoist a Romulan ale.
Millennium Fandom Bar's concept will host regular events and chances to just spend time around like-minded folks who enjoy the worlds of comic books, anime and sci-fi, whether in print, on TV or on screen. Creating a home for regulars to safely indulge in cos-play is also part of their mission, including drink specials for those who dress up for a visit.
Keeping the original DJ booth, music is part of the ambiance and appropriate videos are display on the TVs previously tuned to sports. A daily happy hour is already in effect from 4 to 7 p.m.
