The neighborhood may be filled with big, square, cookie-cutter industrial park buildings, but the new owners of the shuttered Sunset Grill space promise to introduce an "outside the box" approach to the standard breakfast and lunch menu.

Fork & Burger is scheduled for a soft, Jan. 18 opening at the Valley View Business Center, serving familiar favorites and daily specials in a self-described "quaint breakfast and lunch cafe."

Created by Chris Paseka and Jesse Bello, who own Sugarush in Red Bank, N.J., the bakery is famed for their cupcakes, voted the best in the entire state by NJ Monthly Magazine. Paseka won his appearance on the The Food Network's snack food creating contest Rewrapped.

In Las Vegas, Fork & Burger will be overseen by chef Jeff Warek, formerly at the Silverton.

On the menu, build your own omelets, skillets, burgers and sandwiches, as well as an eye toward healthier choices such as black bean burgers, spinach walnut salads and veggie sandwiches.

Daily specials are expected to include lobster mac and cheese, corn dogs, chicken and waffles and grilled salmon. Opening hours are scheduled for 6.30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.
