Burger lovers, brace. Both locations of I Love Burgers at the Grand Canal Shoppes and Town Square closed.
A message on the restaurant website states: "We would like to thank our loyal guests and employees who have made the last 6 years a wonderful experience, but both I Love Burgers locations in Las Vegas have closed. i♥burgers management," with no explanation for the shutter.
The restaurant was known as a "casual pit stop serving grass-fed Angus beef burgers with creative toppings, plus spiked milkshakes."
I Love Burgers featured beef, buffalo and turkey burgers as well as a vegan burger for vegetarians and vegans. Appetizers ranged from mac and cheese bites, fried mozzarella and onion rings.
And then there were the milkshakes in flavors such as the blueberry "panshake," made with blueberries, maple syrup, actual pancakes and ice cream.
Neither the Grand Canal Shoppes nor Town Square announced a replacement.
Last year, a rumor pointed to chef Sam Marvin taking over the two I Love Burgers restaurants at the Grand Canal Shoppes and Town Square to tweak the menus there. Back then, a well-placed source said that Marvin’s Echo & Rig at Tivoli Village would join the LEV Restaurant Group, which owns Jamba Juice, Lobster ME, Daily Kitchen, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and I Love Burgers.
