Big Mess Bar-BQ has debuted at Sam’s Town, taking over the shuttered, Old West-themed Billy Bob's Steak House & Saloon and specializing in meats "dry-rubbed & smoked low & slow over a blend of Hickory, Red Oak & Applewood."

Located close to the resort’s other recent arrival, The Angry Butcher, the replacement for Willy & Jose’s Cantina, Big Mess’ casual menu features “hearty sides” and main dishes they warn with a smile will prompt guests to reach for a wet nap.

Appetizers include the $6.99 "Pickles & Chips," created with “fried dill pickles & potato chips served with buttermilk ranch & Creole mustard dips" and the $8.49 portion of “Smokin' Hot Wings,” featuring “Southern fried chicken wings tossed in a habanero & honey BBQ glaze.”

Diners can also opt for "plates," like the $14.99 "BBQ Grilled Chicken" or "Southern Fried Catfish." But the main attraction will be the “‘Messed UP’ BBQ Platters,” which arrive with cornbread and a choice of two sides.
