Former Charlie Palmer Steak executive chef Stephen Blandino is almost ready to debut Americana in the Desert Shores community, next to Lake Jacqueline.
Featuring a menu of "New American Modern Cuisine," Americana will be unveiled on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Closed on Mondays, the restaurant will be open daily from 4 to 10 p.m. and later until 11 p.m on Fridays and Saturdays.
The corner location has witnessed the recent tenant turnovers of Garfield’s, Latin Fish, Republic Kitchen & Bar, Soho Pizza Bar and Isabela’s, despite the advantage of al fresco dining, directly facing the lake. For part of his makeover, Blandino has added The Library, a private dining room also outfitted with "audiovisual services" to be used as a meeting space.
While the name and dishes are "inspired by the many cultures throughout America," European influences will also make an appearance on the menu, set to include foie gras terrine with Nutella, raspberry spaghetti and figs, the white peach burrata and prosciutto dish or the Golden Egg Carbonara with truffles.
Daily specials will be based on the fresh catch of the day and "Weekly Harvest" discoveries will create tasting menus paired with "unlimited wine."
