Shane Stuart has set an opening timetable for the Boca Park sequel to his downtown Grass Roots juice bar, this time moving beyond a simple menu of smoothies and juices into a project with the loftier aim of promoting "wellbeing, longevity and spiritual transformation."
Featuring a "100% organic whole foods plant based menu," Panacea will take over the shuttered 702DTLV boutique, next door to another recent Boca Park arrival, The Mixx Grill & Lounge. Citing slow "permitting" for missing previously announced target dates, Stuart has revealed that he fully intends to open his doors on Thursday, Dec. 1.
Among menu items promised in recent months, a gluten-free "frushi" dish, created with "bananas glazed with coconut palm sugar, rolled in raw honey coated rice, drizzled with a raw chocolate syrup, topped with caramelized toasted coconut," and their "superfood porridge," made with "Chia seed as well as Goji berry, cranberries, oats, seasonal fruit and cacao."
A "mock cocktail" elixir bar will create non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during their planned DJ sets, or guests can head to the "Himalayan salt rock meditation room for tea ceremonies." For caffeine fans, they will serve "organic direct trade teas sourced from around the world," host a "superfood expresso bar," and feature fermented, effervescent Kombucha teas on tap.
For practical advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, Panacea will also tape "a weekly Ted-style speaker series that will be captured in real time with the first state of the art cameras with integrated Facebook Live streaming throughout our entire restaurant. "
