Once Dec. 31 hits, you’ll have to say goodbye to the Hard Rock Cafe at the Hard Rock Hotel. After 26 years, the iconic restaurant that sits at the front of the resort shuts the doors for good.
Hard Rock says it will instead focus on the Hard Rock Cafe location on the Strip at 3771 Las Vegas Blvd. S. That location opened in 2009 on three floors with 42,000 square feet, including the "world’s largest Rock Shop."
Guests at the Strip location have access to an interactive "Rock Wall," lounge, bar, patio overlooking the Strip and dining. The space also includes Hard Rock Live, where local and international acts perform on the third floor of the venue with room for 1,200. Acts
Employees of the Hard Rock Hotel location will be given priority to fill open positions at the Strip location.
In other news at the Hard Rock Hotel, the new Magic Mike Live room is going through a $2.5 million remodel. Chill and Dunkin’ Donuts also plan to move into a combined space with an estimated construction budget of $512,000.
