Nashville’s Losers Bar will debut in time for the National Finals Rodeo at the MGM Grand, replacing shuttered nightclub Rouge with a honky-tonk dive bar and promising a no-frills attitude alongside a nightly roster of live entertainment.

Open daily from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., the official grand opening night is Thursday, Dec 1., with Nashville’s own Shawn Lacy performing his "Northern-Country" songs. Lacy has announced his residency at the MGM bar will begin Nov. 30, a strong hint of an earlier soft open.

Proudly boasting "our house wine is Jägermeister," Losers Bar will be importing their signature frozen "Bootwacker" concoction, built with "rums, Patron Coffee, Godiva chocolate liqueur, Kahlua liqueur, ice cream, milk, Bootwacker bottled French vanilla syrup, Bootwacker non-dairy based powder, and water."

Created in 2005, co-owner Erv Woolsey is also manager of country legend George Strait. From Dec. 4-10, the Texas Jamm Band will be performing on the small Vegas stage, featuring members of Strait's Ace In The Hole Band.

Strait himself will be performing at the T-Mobile Arena from Dec. 2-3, just across Las Vegas Blvd. There has been no hint if he will make a surprise appearance at the bar, but a job posting for the Losers Bar general manager position listed an ability "to recognize notable country music performers" as an essential skill.
