It took almost a a year, but fans of eastside favorite Mint Indian Bistro can rejoice now they have two opportunities to enjoy the Bistro's self-described "eclectic fine dining,"
Taking over the long shuttered Kai Sushi & Steakhouse in the Durango Rochelle Center, close to the Intersection of Durango Dr. and Flamingo Rd., the interior space has been completely remolded and added a bar.
A Las Vegas fixture since 2008, their new location is currently operating in soft open mode, only serving their very popular lunch buffet. Following a grand opening event on Saturday, Dec. 3, opening hours will be daily from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. for their buffet and 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. for dinner service.
Featuring vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, they also serve "all natural, antibiotic-free meats." Yet to be announced, if the new home will continue the tradition of their famed "Inferno Curry" dining challenge, serving a dish marinated with the hottest natural chilies in the world. The meal is so hot, less than four dozen among almost 2,000 diners have manged to finish their meal.
Earlier this year, owners Kris and Bindi Parikh also launched Desi Burrito, the first local Indian drive-thru.
