News coming out of Fremont East says that Itsy Bitsy Ramen & Whiskey at the Odgen now just relies on the whiskey part of its name. Vital Vegas reports that "The struggling venue has abruptly closed its restaurant and will no longer serve food."
The restaurant opened in the former Wild space in 2015 with a menu of thick and thin noodles and then guests picked a tonkatsu, shoyo or miso broth. Toppings included green onions, braised pork, bean sprouts or a soy-cured egg. Other options included buttered corn, tofu, fish cakes, Spam, spicy meat and dried seaweed.
Vital Vegas says the restaurant "was essentially two businesses in one, the restaurant and bar." Word has it that the bar with a deejay will only be open from 4 p.m. daily until 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and until midnight on Friday and Saturday, going dark on Mondays.
