An imaginative new way to expand a restaurant debuts today from the creative minds of Yonaka Modern Japanese Restaurant. Already one Las Vegas’ most admired off-Strip destinations, the restaurant has moved into the wildly popular local "Craft Your Own Bowl" market with Purple Potato by Yonaka.
Rather than moving into a whole new building, Purple Potato only exists in the online world, with orders available to be delivered or picked up. There is no dining inside the restaurant and the concept continues to serve while Yonaka prepares for dinner service.
On the menu, an elevated version of fast casual dining, featuring "made from scratch" soups, "snacks, sweets and beverages." Guests can start with a $3 miso soup, try the $4 crunchy curried chickpeas and sample a $3 cucumber mint or ginger peach lemonade. Yonaka's addictive crispy Brussels sprouts are also available to take-out, priced at $5.
Customers can build their own bowl with a choice of proteins and upgrade their selection with extra special ingredients like "mapled tofu," raw ahi tuna, raw Scottish salmon, Angus Beef, house cured bacon and raw Japanese yellowtail.
Toppings include chickpea croutons, baked herb falafel, grapes and dried tart cherries.
For those who prefer to leave the ingredient options to the chef, they have also created a range of $8 tried and tested combinations.
