Updating the Return of Parasol Up at Wynn

Previously scheduled to return today, the million dollar makeover of the Parasol Up lounge at Wynn Las Vegas needs a few more days to unveil a new look.

The raised casino floor bar, long a favorite destination for tourists and locals alike, will now be back in business on Thursday, Dec. 29. While the interior work has yet to be revealed, the earlier estimated construction budget of $1,169,209 suggests more than a lick of paint.

Despite the changes, the lounge will still be called Parasol Up, but will debut a new cocktail when it returns. Created with "Bombay Sapphire Gin, Aperol, Pavan Liqueur, Mojave Grapefruit Soda, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup," the mixologists are asking the public to help give it a name.

Elsewhere on property, the resort is taking advantage of the slow holiday season with numerous temporary breaks for its lounge and dining collection.

Andrea's at Encore reopens from its vacation on Dec. 23, Costa di Mare on Dec. 18, the Tower Suite Bar on Dec. 19, The Country Club on Dec. 21, Lakeside at Wynn on Dec. 22, La Cave—Wine & Food Hideaway on Dec. 23 and Terrace Pointe Café also on Dec. 23.

The Café, formerly known as the Drugstore Café, is back to 24-hour service after an estimated $675,024 worth of construction upgrades. And next on the horizon, a re-working of the registration area, which will remove the current retail store. An estimated $1.5 million in construction costs have been assigned to that project.
