Completing one of the best underdog success stories in recent years, downtown's eight-screen Eclipse Theaters has finally opened. Impossible to miss at the corner of 3rd St. and Gass Ave., in addition to bringing a movie theater to the neighborhood, it also features a restaurant, bar and the opportunity to order from both their menus right at your seat.
Guests can even sit around a fire pit on the north facing outdoor balcony and enjoy Las Vegas-themed cocktails like "The Viva DTLV," priced at $12 and created with "three olives, coconut eater, vodka, apricot, free tea and lemon," or the $14 "Casino Royale," featuring "Beefeater Gin, strawberry, thyme and bubbles."
On the menu, starters like $6 sea salt and pepper fries, $12 bruschetta, $8 sweet and spicy eggs and $12 "crispy chicken lollipops tossed in a sweet Thai chili sauce." Salad cups include a Classic Caesar and flatbreads include options like $15 buffalo chicken and a $12 Margherita.
Their sliders section features the $14 hickory smoked BBQ chicken, $18 Maine lobster roll and a $18 "Wagyu Burger." For dessert, red velvet cake, apple cobber, or double chocolate bundt cake compete with hand delivered boxes of Skittles, Red Vines and Gummy Bears.
