Still kept under wraps and behind a long wall off plywood, the twin arrival of Momofuku and Milk Bar to the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is destined to be one of the biggest debuts of the year. That is, if they arrive on schedule. While announcing the first chef to join David Chang's long anticipated move into Las Vegas, Eater Seattle's Las Vegas sources query if Momofuku will once again be pushed back to a 2017 arrival schedule, instead of a still promised date in "late 2016."

In October, the resorts's own website quietly nudged the planned opening to next year, before silently switching it back. Construction walls are still up on the second floor, which has been allocated an estimated $7 million construction budget to create the 8,275-square-foot space.
What is known is that chef Mac Jarvis becomes the first culinary talent to be revealed on the Momofuku team. Jarvis arrives from Capitol Hill's Corvus and Co., with a resume that includes Ernest Loves Agnes, Smith and Tom Douglas Restaurants.
The chef explained to Eater Seattle, "she is unsure of her exact job title," but is very excited about the move. "I'm bummed to leave Corvus and Seattle but this opportunity at Momo is huge! I could not pass it up."
