Chicago favorite deep dish pizza restaurant debuted in Las Vegas last week when Giordano’s started dishing at the Grand Bazaar Shops. The restaurant sits above Starbucks and across from Wahlburgers and the under construction Redneck Riviera. The Strip location offers up lunch, dinner and carry out as well as a late-night option.
Guests can dine inside the 4,000-square-foot restaurant, which also features its own bar, or sit outside for an al fresco people watching experience at the restaurant’s 1,718-square-foot partially enclosed patio on the Grand Bazaar's central promenade. Customers can also sit around the patio bar.
Created in 1974 on the south side of Chicago, Giordano's now operates 50 outposts in Illinois, plus locations in Florida, Indiana, Arizona and Minnesota.
On the horizon for the Grand Bazaar Shops, locals Born and Raised have begun work on their third Las Vegas location, a "Craft Pub," inside a former cell phone accessory store. The 867-square-foot spot faces Wahlburgers and is a few steps away from the new Giordano’s outdoor bar, the Island Time Floats Tiki Bar and the newly opened Sin City Brewing Co. corner spot.
To differentiate themselves from the neighboring boozy options, Born and Raised will feature "Las Vegas inspired décor, craft beers" and a retail store selling their B.A.R. apparel and hometown-themed T-shirts.
Almost directly above Born and Raised, country music star John Rich of Big & Rich fame is moving closer to debuting his "Nashville style honky-tonk bar." The 4,249-square-foot project has allotted an estimated $944,309 in construction costs to create a live music venue that celebrates "people that work hard and play harder" and current and former members of the military. Expect that to open in February.
