Level Up
Address: MGM Grand, 3799 Las Vegas Blvd. S.
Hours: Open from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.
The MGM Grand now has a new entertainment mecca with a bar, lounge and games galore. Meet Level Up, taking over the former Rainforest Cafe space at the resort. Hakkasan Group is behind the project with an estimated construction budget of $2,198,043.
Inside this 12,000-square-foot gaming emporium, find pay-to-play games such as pool, foosball, Jenga and ping pong, as well as QuadAir Hockey, Bubble Hockey, Giant Pac-Man and Connect Four, an arm wrestling table and more. Sigma Derby, the horse racing game, relocated from the MGM Grand casino floor to Level Up.
The space includes what Hakkasan is calling the "world’s first indoor laser golf course," using "Augmented Reality" to let players experience "real-world courses on moving greens with laser guidance, while offering a bevy of interactive putting and other mini-games." The private lounge with Golfstream features a private caddy, bottle service and an exclusive food menu. Players head into a video game so that groups can compete, scores and times are tracked and guests can compete.
The space also includes Live Lucky Bar with 24 craft beers and a specialty cocktail menu. A live deejay spins later in the evening.
