All the attention at The Linq Promenade will soon be focused on the debut of In-N-Out Burger’s first Strip location. But in a few more months, another West Coast favorite will be making a high-profile return to Las Vegas.
Once planned to be ready earlier this year, Canter's Deli is now officially promising a spring 2017 arrival, housed inside the former ticket office of the High Roller attraction.
New construction paperwork has recently been filed, upgrading the space to an enlarged 4,550 square feet and keeping a substantial outdoor patio.
The revised permit application kickstarts the stalled build-out, now working with an estimated construction budget of $856,250.
Earlier plans included a full-size deli and bakery, making it easy for guests to take-away Canter’s "New York style cheesecake, and world-famous chocolate chip racetrack cake."
Also arriving in the spring, their second Las Vegas home, a 6,355-square-foot neighbor to the new Restoration Hardware store at Tivoli Village. Construction work on the westside is well underway.

From 2003 until 2012, Canter's operated a much smaller deli outpost at Treasure Island. To help oversee the brand’s return to Las Vegas, Steven Katz, a former MGM Mirage and Luxor executive, has been brought on as their general manager.
