As expected, the legacy of chef André Rochat continues when Andre's Bistro & Bar opens in the former DW Bistro space on Fort Apache Road.
The chef’s André’s at the Monte Carlo closed at the beginning of October and two of Rochat’s protege’s created a new dining and nightlife group, Stacked Hospitality, with a third partner to open the restaurant and take over Alizé at the Palms.
The bar and bistro plans to "returns Andre's to its roots by becoming his first neighborhood restaurant opening since the debut of his eponymous, groundbreaking restaurant in 1980 in Downtown Las Vegas. Diners can expect French and American fare for lunch, dinner and brunch.
Executive chef Scott Sampson, who worked at Mistral and Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at the Monte Carlo, heads up the kitchen, while Patrick Trundle will serve as the restaurant's general manager. He joined Andre's at Monte Carlo in 2003 and worked his way from captain to beverage director for both Andre's and Alizé at the Palms.
