A difficult year for fans, friends and family of chef Bernard Tordjman, as Bernard's Bistro has confirmed it has shuttered in Henderson. Chef Tordjman passed away late last year, but his namesake restaurant had remained operating until this weekend.
The original Bernard's Bistro closed at Montelago Village at Lake Las Vegas in early 2015 after eight years in business. The Sunset Road expansion served a similar California-French influenced cuisine in a space three times the size and was set to reach its second anniversary this month.
The interior decor featured walls paying tribute to the chef's twin passions, the music of Frank Sinatra and the history of doomed passenger liner RMS Titanic. Tordjman's grandfather had worked for the company that supplied the food and wine for the White Star Line fleet that included the ill-fated passenger liner.
