Bad Owl Coffee will debut in Henderson this month, promising "serious espresso drinks, nitrogen brew coffee and personal pour overs" and a Harry Potter theme whimsical enough to raise a smile on Severus Snape.
The concept has completed a weekend soft opening and is temporarily closed while awaiting to launch a grand opening within days. Located at the Eastern Commons Retail Center, the 1,400 square feet coffee shop has already branded their table with nods to the world of Hogwarts and plans to add even more Potter-abilia.

Bad Owl Coffee will eventually roll out a menu of pastries, waffles, sandwiches and desserts, with a view to adding wine and "craft beer" this summer.
On the drinks menu, nitrogen brewed iced coffee will join the Kyoto, a "traditional Japanese iced coffee, brewed for over 16 hours."
During the test run, Bad Owl served lavender lattes and naturally for serious Potter fans, a butterbeer latte. Tea flavors include Mandarin silk, apple malt and blooming beach flower. The slow drip Kyoto press brews are expected to cost $5 for 12 ounces and $6 for 16 ounces.
When it debuts, opening hours will be 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
