Thai Style Noodle House at 3516 Wynn Road came within one point of being shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District after inspectors hit the restaurant with 40 demerits on Friday, Feb. 19.
The routine inspection uncovered food unprotected from potential contamination, staff not washing their hands, no hot and cold water, no hot and cold holding equipment present and much more.
This isn't the first time Thai Noodle House has earned a low grade from the health district. SNHD inspectors shut down the restaurant in 2014 with 50 demerits and in 2011 with 43 demerits. Other inspections are all over the place dating back to 2007.
The health district conducts unannounced inspections at least once a year. Inspections are posted online about five days after the inspection. The Southern Nevada Health District routinely shuts down restaurants that receive more than 40 demerits. Restaurants have the option of requesting a re-inspection before the next scheduled inspection.
