PT’s Brewing Co. celebrates its grand opening today, marking the first in the chain’s breweries. It takes over the former Tenaya Creek space in the northwest with a little makeover, seven new beers and a full menu. Brewmaster Dave Otto, formerly the head brewmaster at Big Dog’s Brewing Co., created the six house brews as well as a seasonal saison.

Try the Horizon Ale, a crisp cream ale brewed with light malts and a touch of American hops; Sahara Pale Ale, a classic American-style pale ale with notes of pine, citrus and stone fruit; Sunset Wit, a new take on a Belgian-style white ale brewed with coriander and grapefruit zest; Sean Patrick’s Irish Red, an Irish-style red ale with hints of toasted malts and caramel; Boulder Stout, a nitro poured Irish-style stout with notes of coffee and cocoa; and a Hualapai IPA, an assertively hopped West Coast-style IPA. Otto’s winter/spring seasonal brewed saison features lemon grass and thyme, dry-hopped with Citra hops and fermented with a classic saison yeast.

On the menu, find a Brew House burger with peppered bacon, Wisconsin-aged cheddar cheese, sautéed mushrooms, white truffle oil and fries; stir-fried quinoa with chicken and peas; pork ‘n’ beans with a braised pork shoulder with country beans; and dirty paella with dirty rice, shrimp, calamari and braised pork.

Take a look around before the grand opening from 6 p.m. to midnight with free passed appetizers and beer, as well as $4 and $5 PT’s Brewing Co. beer specials.
