Last August, Utah-based chain Kneaders Bakery & Cafe warned their built from scratch Henderson expansion would take until the middle of 2016 to arrive. But the owners have beaten the projection and will be ready to debut within weeks, not months.
Future owner Joe Peterson has been posting images of the construction progress and assuring fans that Kneaders will arrive in early April. They have also begun the hiring process. Located at the corner of Pecos Ridge and Eastern, inside the retail center that used to host Firefly, the Kneaders corporate office has also been promoting a March debut.
The 3,669-square-foot space will offer a drive-thru and back in January 2015 told the Henderson City Council they intended to be serving from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Once Henderson is established, the brand promises "we have a few locations scheduled for Las Vegas and Nevada."
Kneaders has cultivated a very loyal fan base for its in-house baked breads, especially their signature sourdough choices. They also offer sandwiches, salads, pastries and a breakfast menu ranging from French toast to omelets. They operate in over 40 locations, currently focused on Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Texas and Utah.
