The long-shuttered Hoso Sushi & Lobster Restaurant, in the corner of Summerlin's Trails Village Center, is planning to be filled 24 hours a day by an expanding local name. The Bar intends to drop into the 4,475-square-foot space, creating a tavern, lounge, restaurant and gaming destination with 15 video slot machines.
Situated next door to Jacques Cafe, The Bar will serve breakfast lunch and dinner menus, with booth seating placed against the walls of the tavern and 33 seats at the large, center, rectangular bar. The concept operates four other locations, most recently debuting at Las Vegas Boulevard and Wigwam Avenue.
With a motto of "drink, dine, play," The Bar serves a familiar casual American menu, offering dishes such as burgers, soups, salads, tacos, plus more substantial fare including a red wine braised pot roast, chicken artichoke pasta and carne asada. No timetable for the arrival in Summerlin has been announced by The Bar.
