Finally confirmed, San Diego's Donut Bar is well on its way to Las Vegas and will take over from a failed, local doughnut experiment. Located next door to Carson Kitchen on Sixth Street, Santiago Campa will drop a sequel to the "most award winning donut shop in the country" into the former O Face Doughnuts space.
First revealed last October, Donut Bar had planned to locate across from the Hard Rock Hotel. The move downtown will enable the team to take advantage of a mothballed, 3,000-square-foot doughnut making facility, double the size of their original plans. Confident of a debut later this month, they are currently hiring for all positions.

Created in 2013 and producing 2,000 doughnuts a day, Campa frequently sells out of his artisanal spins on the humble doughnut, with multiple flavors and themes. Ranging in price from $2 to $4, choices include the "Big Poppa Tart," mud pie, maple Bourbon, Boston creme, apple fritter, cake batter and the must-buy for any Simpsons fan, "Homer's donut."
Also headed round the corner in the same John E Carson Hotel retail and office center, Panacea Tea & Elixir Bar from Shane Stuart who operates Grass Roots Organic Juice Bar a few steps away.
