An "industrial chic" coffee shop will soon debut close to Sunset Park, inspired by the Portland, Ore., java scene and offering the full range of the city's Stumptown Coffee brand.
Created by Hunter Hawkins, Coffee Hunter will launch with a soft opening on March 9, although they have sporadically been testing their wares at random times for lucky customers.

The space offers room for local artists to display their work amid a self-described look of "industrial chic with a great mix of reclaimed woods, metal, and concrete." The design is by busy downtown creative Rob Gurdison, who is also working on the bricks and mortar upgrade for The Goodwich.
On the menu, Stumptown's Hairbender espresso, "single origin coffees, and nitro cold brew on tap," plus Metolious Artisan Tea. Only organic milk will be served with their beverages.
Food options include pasties from the Cornish Pasty Co., "Woodblock Chocolate from Portland, Happy Endings Chocolate, Rip van Wafels, Bearded Bros. energy bars, and a large selection of gluten free items like cookies, madeleines, and biscottis from UR Sweet Madness." They are also introducing guests to a Portuguese chocolate treat, brigadeiros.
Temporary, soft opening hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m Fridays and Saturday, with the cafe closed Sunday and Monday.
