Naked City Pizza on Paradise gets in on the brunch game starting this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then every week after. Owner Christopher Palmeri says that some of the dishes he serves may end up on the menu at Naked City Tavern, his third restaurant opening going in the former Blind Tiger Bar & Grill at 6295 S. Pecos Road later this year.
Look for the bacon candle with sweet balsamic vinegar and crusty bread for $10.95; a carpaccio with in-house cured lonza, shaved egg and rocket arugula for $13.95; a bacon risotto with sorrel, a five minute 15 second egg, English peas and chicharon for $13.95; the hot mama with egg bread, salami, in-house lonza, provolone, alfredo and a sunny side up egg for $15.95; shrimp and grits with chicken skin crisp for $17.95; chocolate gelato with a strawberry juice confit for $9.95; and Nutella doughnuts with apple-berry compote for $8.95.
Palmeri emphasizes that he’s using many local products including eggs from Love on Your Plate, sorrel and arugula from BD’s Farm in Ojai, Calif., lettuces and watercress from Jacob’s Farm in Santa Barbara, Calif., English peas from Elwood Canyon in Santa Barbara, breads and bagels from Great Buns Bakery and more.
