Arriving "late summer" at the Galleria at Sunset, Wolfgang Hauck is bringing the nationwide World of Beer franchise to Nevada, but is aiming to draw a customer base not just for their very wide variety of brews.
Seeking approval by the City of Henderson, Hauck intends to add live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights from 10 p.m to 2 a.m. The temporary stage area, with room for four instruments, will be close to the kitchen in the main 1,508-square-foot dining room.
New plans show guests will first enter the tavern and encounter a small "sofa lounge." The 164-seat dining room includes booths, a "nook" section and the long bar with 23 stools. On the walls, tap displays, chalkboards indicating specials and a "loyalty board."
A main attraction will be the covered, 1,258-square-foot, 49-seat outdoor patio, including sofas and armchairs sitting close to two fire pits. A seven-stool patio bar is also being built.
Sitting in-between Larsen's Grill and Gen Korean BBQ House, World of Beers will feature a menu they describe as "tavern fare." Expect comfort choices such as pretzels, chimichurri meatballs, flatbreads, sliders and sandwiches like their "Guinness bratwurst" creation.
With more than 70 locations, the Tampa, Fla.-based company was founded in 2007. In Henderson, the plan is for 500 beers in the cooler and more than 40 on tap.
