A new high-end cigar bar and lounge has debuted in the former Hyakumi Japanese restaurant at Caesars Palace, and peering through the floor-to-ceiling glass walls, it is easy to rationalize how the project reached an estimated $1,980,000 in construction costs.
The 3,761-square-foot Montecristo Cigar Bar, lounge and store features a humidor that can house up to 1,000 cigars, offering familiar upscale smokes like Montecristo, Romeo Y Julieta, and H. Upmann. A "state-of-the-art ventilation system" is promised to be active at all times.
The bar area is stocked with "fine whiskeys," Pappy Van Winkle vintages, the 18-year-old Elijah Craig Single Barrel and the Thomas H Handy Sazerac "Antique Collection." For guests lounging in the leather armchairs, the Louis XII Perfect Pour will be served at their table in crystal Riedel glassware to further kick up the luxury quota.

A unique aspect of the lounge is their elevated snack options. While a plate of $18 imported or domestic cheeses or $9 pistachios could be found elsewhere, from 5 to 10 p.m., diners can order the $30 Old Homestead Burger, a "10 oz dry-aged 'Pat LaFrieda' burger," brought over from the Old Homestead steakhouse next door.
Guests who make prior arrangements can also order from the rest of the menu from Old Homestead, plus selections from Nobu Restaurant & Lounge and for a true indulgence, even dishes from Restaurant Guy Savoy.
