A new casual Mexican venture is headed to the The District at Green Valley Ranch, promising sustainable ingredients and a plan to "make simple better."

Me Gusta Tacos has been created by locals Li Hsun Sun, the former owner of Henderson's Crepe Shack & Waffles, and Chris Connors. Me Gusta will take over the shuttered Josies Frozen Yogurt at 2235 Village Walk Dr., a few steps away from the Due and Proper pub.

Aiming for a late April or early May debut, the menu will be based around tacos, burritos, salads and churros, with the team promoting "hand pressed corn tortillas" and "all natural meats and sustainable fish."

Expected to be open from 10.30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and starting at 9 a.m. on weekends, the menu features single tacos for $3.50, three for $9.50 and six for $18. Choices include carnitas, sustainable fish with cabbage, cilantro and wasabi cream, Korean kalbi and and a vegetation option with portabello mushrooms.

Burritos will be priced between $7 and $8, served with tortilla chips and guests can opt for the neighborhood name-checked Anthem, created with squash, avocado, black beans, Spanish rice and queso fresco. Salad bowls include a "stacked tater tots" option and breakfast burritos will be available all-day. Churros will be flavored with cinnamon sugar, caramel, strawberries or Bavarian cream.
