Ever since Eater Vegas first announced the arrival of cult java joint Dutch Bros. Coffee into Las Vegas last year, their loyal Dutch Mafia fan base have been clamoring for more local locations. While publicly admitting they have been actively looking for expansion possibilities, a new paperwork trail suggests they have already found a second home.
BB Holdings NV LLC have recently leased 9,000 square feet of retail space for the next decade at the Windmill Retail Plaza, bordered by Windmill and Bermuda. BB Holdings operates under the business name "Dutch Bros." and the LLC's sole manager is Dutch Bros co-founder Travis Boersma.
The considerable footprint is nine times larger than the company's original 1,380-square-foot Las Vegas space at 2840 E. Tropicana Ave., seven miles north from their next home. In 2015, a walk-in Dutch store in Scottsdale, Ariz., became the brand's first large scale concern at 2,200 square feet, still not close to the amount of space to be filled at the Windmill Plaza.
With more than 250 kiosks, Dutch Bros. is the "country's largest privately-held, drive-through only coffee company." Using a proprietary blend of Colombian, Brazilian and El Salvadoran beans, their menu features an array of flavored coffees like the chocolate macadamia nut "Annihilator" and the "911," created with Irish cream and 6 shots." They also serve lemon poppy-seed, chocolate chip and orange cranberry muffin tops.
