Wondering where the bar from the 60-year-old Riviera is going? The Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Bureau bought the Riviera and plan to implode it to make way for an expansion of the convention bureau. That doesn’t mean the history behind the place is completely lost.
The team at Topgolf Las Vegas salvaged pieces of the historic Riviera bar and are working on refurbishing it. The bar will live on the first level of Topgolf Las Vegas as the "Riv Bar."
The Topgolf team pulled multiple components of multiple bars to preserve the history. As they say, "The Rat Pack could have easily sat at the same bar, but we can’t say for sure."
Topgolf, going in on Harmon Avenue behind the MGM Grand, set the turf on the main range of the global company’s flagship location. The 105,000-square-foot space plans to offer a four-story venue with 108 climate-controlled hitting bays with five bars, two pools, multiple cabanas, two luxury suites, meeting spaces and more.
