Nacho Daddy finally confirms that it will open its first location on the Strip. The restaurant with locations in Henderson, Downtown Las Vegas and on the west side plans to open at 6,000-square-foot location at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort in mid-August. Keep in mind that the Henderson location closes soon to make way for Chick-fil-A.
On the docket, those famous scorpion shots and Mexican-inspired cuisine in a space with 32-foot ceilings and seating for about 230 people. Look for 21 high-definition televisions, a large projection TV and a private dining room for parties and events.
Chefs at Nacho Daddy plan to work in an open kitchen that looks out on booths, banquettes and table seating in the dining room. Guests can also watch the scene on Harmon Avenue from the street below from the mezzanine.
House-made margaritas are served at the large bar that opens to the patio through hangar-style doors.
The menu includes filet mignon nachos with house-made corn chips topped with a cheese blend, refried beans, filet mignon, sour cream, pico de gallo, guacamole, cilantro and house-made ranchero sauce; a bacon Anaheim chili grilled cheese sandwich with applewood-smoked bacon, pepper jack and cheddar cheese, roasted Anaheim chilis and chipotle onions served on Texas toast; a Mexi-Cobb salad with romaine hearts tossed in onion-thyme vinaigrette, topped with chicken strips, pico de gallo, cheese blend, corn, cucumbers, avocado and tortilla strips; new combination plates that mix up enchiladas, tacos or tamales; and the Nacho Daddy triple dip featuring warm tortilla chips with spicy salsa, skillet queso dip and fresh guacamole.
Nacho Daddy originally opened in 2010 in Henderson.
