Me Gusta Tacos is well on its way to The District at Green Valley Ranch, with a newly set opening date, a menu of sustainable ingredients and a plan to "make simple better."
Created by locals Chris Connors and Li Hsun Sun, the former owner of Henderson's Crepe Shack & Waffles, Me Gusta will begin serving inside the shuttered Josies Frozen Yogurt space from April 20. It sits adjacent to Oil and Vine and a few doors down from the Due and Proper pub.
Naturally, the menu will be based around tacos, plus burritos, salads and churros. The team promises "hand pressed corn tortillas" and "all natural meats and sustainable fish." Single tacos will be priced $3.50, with three for $9.50 and six for $18. Choices include carnitas, sustainable fish with cabbage, cilantro and wasabi cream, Korean kalbi and and a vegetarian option with portabello mushrooms.
Burritos will cost between $7 and $8, served with tortilla chips and the $7 salad bowls include a "stacked tater tots" option, built with "crunchy tater tots, mild cheddar, guacamole and sour cream."
Opening hours are expected to be from 10.30 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and starting at 9 a.m. at the weekend.
