Former Ventano Italian Grill & Seafood executive chef Rudy Janeo Jr. is very close to launching his own venture in south east Henderson, the lunch and dinner concept Il Chianti Italian Seafood & Steak Restaurant.
The 2,000-square-foot space will take over the shuttered Rosarita's Beach Taco Shop, at the Black Mountain Marketplace retail center at the corner of Horizon and Horizon Ridge, already home to Wahoo's Fish Tacos and Naga Thai Dining.
Guests are promised the corner spot will feature a "casual elegance," with Italian inspired creations and dishes like paella, sashimi, sea pasta and meatballs and a full wine menu.
A soft opening has been announced for May 3 at 4 p.m, and the grand opening also debuts at 4 p.m on May 5. Open daily, lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. The under construction Il Chianti website also hints at a future breakfast service that would begin at 7.30 a.m.
