Early world on a new venture from local chef Matthew Meyer, who is expanding from his longtime catering business and opening Served, a bricks-and-mortar venture in Henderson's Country Club Center. The 1,665-square-foot space was previously home to Crazy Pita and Intimate Fine Dining.
Meyer has run his Matteo's Gourmet Food Services since 2003, but locally is best known for once operating Matteo's Café in Henderson, Matteo's Gourmet Café in Anthem and the Just Rollin' food truck.
The Served grand opening weekend will begin May 6, before they open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Already promised, "cultural favorites, redefined," and guests will have a chance to "savor the flavors of the world in a single dish." On the menu, breakfast items such as corned beef hash, chicken and waffles, pancakes and longsilog.
Main dishes include bi bim bap, ono wings and salmon panang. The sandwich roster includes the portobello veggie and a shrimp tempura po' boy, which arrive with a choice of potato nuggets, sweet potato fries, macaroni or potato salad. Burgers and a full roster of tacos and salads can also be enjoyed with beer and wine.
