Originally planned to sit downtown across from his Grass Roots juice bar at the John E. Carson Hotel, Shane Stuart will now be moving his Panacea Tea & Elixir Bar concept west into a larger building at Boca Park. Work had begun on remodeling the Carson space inside the shuttered Bud & Vine flower shop, putting up shelves and painting signage on the glass.
Now shortened to Panacea, the bigger footprint will allow Stuart to create a "100% organic whole foods plant based menu" and also operate a "healing center." Located next door to the shuttered Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Panacea replaces the equally closed outpost of another downtown expansion experiment, Container Park's clothing boutique 702DTLV.
Alongside "Biofeedback back testing for personally tailored cleanse programs" and a "Himalayan salt rock meditation room for tea ceremonies," expect to discover a "mock cocktail" elixir bar, smoothies and juices, "organic direct trade teas sourced from around the world and a "Superfood expresso bar." Also being served, fermented, effervescent Kombucha teas on tap. Stuart is aiming for a summer debut.
