You only have until Tuesday to head to BLT Burger before the restaurant shutters for good. That’s when the Mirage shutters the restaurant to convert it into LVB Burgers & Bar on Thursday, April 7.
The Mirage says it will own and operate the restaurant helmed by executive chef Michael LaPlaca from Portofino at the resort. He plans to unveil a new menu of burgers, salads, sides and shakes.
BLT Burger was shut down by the Southern Nevada Health District on Wednesday, March 16, after a re-inspection by the health department. The restaurants initially earned a 39-demerit C grade from the health department on March 8. Inspectors returned on March 16 to find potentially hazardous dishes improperly cooled, food unprotected from potential contamination, ineffective pest control measures, hot and cold holding equipment missing and more, earning the restaurant 19 demerits.
LVB Burgers & Bar plans to be open Sundays through Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.
BLT Burger maintains two outposts in Hong Kong.
