California Pizza Kitchen brings its sixth location to Las Vegas with a new flagship location at The Park, which just opened on Monday between New York-New York and the Monte Carlo. This location features the chain’s "Next Chapter" line of dishes that includes 20 specialty dishes just for The Park and Downtown Summerlin locations, including a hearth-roasted New York strip served with chimichurri rojo, burgers with Wagyu beef and wild-caught Ahi. A CPK classic cheeseburger and the seared Ahi tuna burger make that new menu of burgers.
Look for small plates meant to be shared, including charred shishito peppers, spicy Buffalo cauliflower and handmade burrata cheese with grilled baguettes. Three "power bowls" with fresh vegetables, super foods and protein-packed ancient grains ring in at less than 650 calories.
On the pizza front, find the carne asada pizza with marinated steak, fire-roasted poblanos, cilantro pesto, mozzarella, Monterrey Jack and fresh cilantro, alongside classics such as the original barbecue chicken. Order up gluten-free options as well.
On the cocktail menu, find reinvented takes on classic cocktails, such as the whiskey cider press with Maker’s Mark Bourbon, apple cider, lemonade, ginger ale, spiced cherries and apple; the Socialite Cosmo with Deep Eddy Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka, Pavan orange blossom liqueur, cranberry and agave sour, topped with bubbles; and the Cha Cha Agua Fresca with Sauza Cucumber Chili Tequila, Cazadores Reposado Tequila, cucumber, pineapple juice and agave sour, garnished with a cilantro sprig.
Note that CPK’s Downtown Summerlin location is the only other location nationwide to offer the exclusive new menu.
Aria Group Architects Inc. designed the 7,987-square-foot restaurant with high ceilings and an open kitchen centered around the open-hearth pizza oven, where guests can watch their meals prepared. Reclaimed wood seating, metals, light fixtures and décor is offset by colorful barstools, chandeliers and artwork of local landmarks. Outside, the colorful façade uses reclaimed wood, wall planters and antique terra cotta pots. "Garage-style" glass doors open to a patio bar that overlooks an outdoor water feature, desert landscaping, monumental steel shade structures, Bliss Dance, a 40-foot-tall art installation of a dancing woman and more.
