Main Street's independently and locally owned coffee shop Maker's & Finders has been caffeinating the Arts District since October 2104 and now wants to add an alcoholic kick to your meals while helping it compete with the slow crush of new boozy options heading to the neighborhood.

Run by Josh Molina and Valeria Varela, the team create "Latin comfort food" dishes for breakfast and lunch and pour coffees created by seven different methods including AeroPress and Moka pots. They are seeking City permission to serve alcohol inside and out on on their patio, pairing the drinks with new menu items and their popular brunch.

They are already imagining coffee- and tea-inspired cocktails, plus a brunch focus on mimosas, bloody Marys and margaritas. Makers has recently collaborated to create coffee beers for Hop Nuts Brewing right next door and CraftHaus Brewery in Henderson and hope to also include them on their own menu. Later this year Makers & Finders expects to debut their first expansion to Henderson's Water Street.

Permission currently appears to be progressing without a hitch.
