DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN — Public School 702 has a Kick the Keg" competition on Wednesday, May 18, where four vendors pick a beer that they think is going to kick first. Botanical IPA from New Belgium, Joseph James "Mango Weizen," Coachella Valley Brewing "Harvester Imperial IPA" with local Coachella grapefruits and Alpine Beer Co. "Nelson" will be on tap. The guest who "kicks" the keg by ordering the last beer will get a prize donated by that distributor!, and the server or bartender who sells the last beer will also get a prize. [EaterWire]

NORTHWEST — Tonight, Aces & Ales has a five-course dinner with Stone Brewing's Dr. Bill Sysak that features beer, bourbon and barbecue. Look for six beers and five bourbons for $95 for the 6 p.m. dinner. Head over to the bar and restaurant on Saturday at 3 p.m. for the seventh annual Stone Domination with Stone Brewing beers. NEONOPOLIS — Banger Brewing and Nevada Craft Brewers association host the second annual Locals Only Beer Festival on Saturday, May 14, from 2 to 6 p.m. The breweries for this year’s lineup include Barley’s Brewing, Hop Nuts, Banger Brewing, Triple 7, Joseph James, CraftHaus, Bad Beat, Tenaya Creek, Big Dog’s, Chicago Brewery, Ellis Island, Gordon Biersch, Hofbrauhaus Brewery, PT’s Brewing, Lovelady brewing, Great Basin and Pint Brewery.
