Say goodbye to SLO-Boy, the temporary popup that took over The Goodwich’s digs in the parking lot of Dino’s Lounge. Chef Justin Kingsley Hall says that Saturday, May 28, will be his last day in the space.
"Our time as part of the The Goodwich TBD concept kitchen has been more rewarding than I could have imagined. The team produced some great food and service, for which I'm eternally grateful," he writes on Facebook.
The concept kitchen was never meant to be a full-time home, and Kingsley Hall reports he will move his restaurant into the Bunkhouse Saloon on June 7-8 for a midnight brunch.
The former Comme Ca Los Angeles sous chef serves rustic French-American fare. His menu included grass-fed tri-tip with either "wookey Jack barbecue" sauce or Kingsley’s sauce, porchetta with rolled and roasted pork belly and a walnut stuffing and carrot top pesto, or harissa carrots. There’s a daily limit on the coq-in-a-box with a half Cornish hen cooked two ways as a Southern-fried breast and braised leg.
