Last January the very popular family-run, Southern Italian restaurant Nora's Cuisine announced it would be moving to an under construction home and almost doubling their size. New paperwork indicates they'll be making sure as many guests as possible will have their chance to enjoy some veal cannelloni al bosco.
The original Nora's has been located at the corner of Flamingo and Jones for 25 years, serving in a 3,800-square-foot, single story, strip mall space. This year they will be moving barely a quarter of a mile east to the corner of Flamingo Road and Duneville Street.
The new place will fill 6,898 square feet and offer a northside outdoor "bocce patio." The original proposal called for the second floor to be occupied by offices, but new plans intend to expand the downstairs dining area, which also includes a bar, and build a new upstairs banquet space for special event seating with access to an upper level dining deck.
An early estimated construction budget $1,376,139 was allotted for the build. Despite the upgrades, the familiar menu from restaurant namesake Nora Mauro will make the move down the road, including classics such as rigatoni Gorgonzola with chicken, pork tenderloin alla Siciliana and pappardelle with wild boar.
In March Nora's estimated work on the project was almost 30 percent completed.
