After years of not-so patient waiting from a very vocal local fan-base, Dave & Buster's finally arrives in Downtown Summerlin this August. As they begin the hiring process for as many as 260 positions, the normally tight-lipped chain have let slip their "grand opening" plans.
The new home page for the full service restaurant, sports bar and arcade is currently promoting a "tentative grand opening" date of Monday, August 8. An earlier "store details" link on the company's restaurant locations map had been announcing they would debut on Aug. 7, suggesting a possible Sunday soft opening might also be in the cards.
While further updates are promised, the huge 33,845-square-foot space is scheduled to operate from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday to Thursday and until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Dave & Buster's stretches from Park Center Drive, adjacent to the Lane Bryant clothing store, east toward the Regal Downtown Summerlin 5 movie theater. First uncovered by Eater Vegas back in March, the early construction budget was estimated to $3,338,418.
The Summerlin location will host 180 games on their "Million Dollar Midway" including "Ghostbusters, Zombie Snatcher and Star Wars Battle Pod." For even more visual stimulation, the sports bar will feature "30 HD, big-screen TVs," and a cocktail menu including Tiki drinks, "adult snow cones," a strawberry watermelon margarita poured over strawberry ice cubes and "Glow Kones featuring a multicolored, flashing cube."
On the menu of casual American fare, creations like their "Pepperoni Pretzel Pull-Apart," three cheese grilled cheese sticks and a buffalo wing burger, plus a selection of new dishes including the "Angry Orchard BBQ chicken and bacon wrapped shrimp with lobster sauce & fire-grilled sirloin."
