A former Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant will soon transform into "a premier dining destination for locals" at Boca Park when The Mixx Grill & Lounge hosts their "Grand Opening" on June 18.

Created by owner and operator JP Teresi, chef Bryan Ogden will be behind the menu, created in a "culinary theater in the round" setting, where guests are promised "you're going to see the chef. Meet the chef. Interact with the chef. "

The 9,000-square-foot space will feature live music and originally promoted "some of the top DJs from around the world" will be helping out with the soundtrack.

Ogden was last seen locally overseeing Munchbar at Caesars Palace and now out in the suburbs he will be serving "28 appetizers, the biggest selection of its kind in Las Vegas," with a menu featuring "seafood influences from the South Pacific, Vietnamese, Chinese, Australian, Polynesian. And underneath it all, a strong French influence."

He'll be highly visible working on "The Iron.. a 4,400-pound hardened steel cooking surface," the visual centerpiece of the restaurant, also set to feature "a myriad of vivid colors and breathtaking design elements."

Opening hours have yet to be revealed, but Teresi is already promising themed days to encourage repeat visits, including "a special night each week just for singles. Tuesdays dedicated to trying great new wine selections. On Friday we'll be playing R&B classics in a lounge setting. Each Monday, beginning in the afternoon, we'll even teach the kids to cook."
