Onyx Bar at Red Rock Resort just converted into a whiskey and cigar experience across from Tbones Chophouse. Bourbons, whiskeys and Scotches, along with fine cigars, all make the menu at this revamped bar.
The renovations here include all-new furnishings in a bar and lounge seating with an interesting collection of barrel-aged whiskeys and a private VIP room with seating for 10 guests.
The menu features more than 70 whiskey varieties from around the world including an assortment of bourbon and rye, single-malt scotch, blended whiskies from the United States, Canada, France, Japan and Taiwan, as well as whiskey flights to sample a variety.
Cigars include Padron Family Reserve 50 Years Maduro and Oliva Serie V Melanio Figurado, featured on Cigar Aficionado's list of Top 25 cigars.
New cocktails include the Barreled Bubbles with Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Aperol liqueur and Prosecco; the Spicy Devil with Jim Beam Devils Cut Bourbon, St. Germain liqueur, red apple and mango puree; the Blood & Sand with Johnnie Walker Black, fresh orange juice, Cinzano sweet vermouth, luxardo morlacco cherry and an optional float of mezcal); and the Carnivale with the Augusta Cachaca, Aperol, Funkin Brazilian and fresh lemon sou.
Guests can also order beer, Champagne and wine.
Onyx Bar is open nightly, Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
